I woke up the next morning to hearing her squawk. I looked on the dresser and did not see the monitor. My first thoughts were, "Oh, crap! I must have knocked off the monitor; how long has she been up?" I run to her room, look in her crib (forgeting that I moved her), then I looked in her sling. She was not there. I went into the kitchen. Jason was at the stove. Ella was in her high chair playing with toys. Jason set his alarm for 6:00. He snuck out of our room with the dog, the monitor, and diaper stuff. He figured out what to make for breakfast and when Ella woke up, he got her, changed her diaper, fed her a bottle, and finished cooking breakfast. When I woke up, I did not realize that Jason was not in bed because I usually sleep with my back to him, and my side of the bed is closest to the door. We have a wonderful breakfast of blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs, and Land O' Lakes hot chocolate.
We then got ready for church. Jason had Ella for most of Sacrament meeting because I was leading the music. Jason also lead the Primary children for their Mother's Day song. He does so well with them. I received lots of compliments that day about Jason being with the Primary children. After church we stopped by a friend's to pick up some props that Jason needed her to transport after they had done a dinner theater. Jason was in a dinner theater, The Hillarious Hillbilly Masacure, Saturday night. We then went home and I fed Ella and read scriptures while Jason cleaned the kitchen. We made a goal on May 5th to get through the Book of Mormon by the time schools starts. We then laid down for a nap. Ella decided she wanted a short nap so we went to campus to walk around. It was a beautiful day.
Jason was going to cook venison steaks, mashed potatoes, and carrots for dinner, but by the time dinner time rolled around, we were both very content and decided to save the meal for Monday. Ella also rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time that evening. Jason and I both missed it. We were in the living room and she started to cry. We looked down at her and realized that she was on her back. I cheered for her. She also discovered her feet Mother's Day weekend. She grabs for her toes/feet and holds onto them. She is so much fun. She brings us so much joy and happiness.
