Amy's Shower

***I have finally played catch-up...Blogger overload

I was able to help throw a shower for one of my friend's Amy. She had a beautiful baby girl, Sophia, 2 1/2 weeks ago. She got some cute gifts. I love girl stuff. I have been surrounded by girls my whole life. I came from a family of four girls; I was a nanny for four girls. I worry about what kind of job I will do as a mother to boys. They are just so different. Back to the subject at hand, we had fun and I hope Amy enjoyed her shower.

Mom and Dad Come to Visit

Both of my parents have been out to visit two of their kids in Oklahoma several times, but never together except for right after my sister moved out her. Some of my sister's friends had asked if my sister if they were divorced. While they were here, we did a lot of fun things. We were able to go to the Oklahoma City Memorial. They did a very nice job. We did not go inside, but the outside was just breath taking. Jason and I want to go back sometime at night when it is lit up. We also went to the Science Museum in Oklahoma City. This place is amazing. Everyone had fun, the one year old to the 62 year old. Jason and I want to go back. We were there for 3 hours and only got through half of it.

I just wanted to post this picture. While my parents we here, I was able to get Eliza's hair in piggy tails. She looked so cute.

We had a lot of fun with my parents and are excited to see them for Christmas.

Visitors

Several weeks ago, Jason and I played hostess for two nights in a row. One of Jason's friends from back in Virginia, Katie, and her family were passing through Oklahoma and stayed with us for a night. It was my first time meeting her and her family and we had a lot of fun. Unfortunately being a horrible person at remembering to take pictures, we did not get any pictures.


The next night, one of my friends from back in elementary school, roommates, and bridesmaid, Barbie, was moving from Utah to Virginia and stayed with us for the night. We had not seen each other in years. We were able to visit with her and her sister for a few hours that night. It was so good to see them.

I really need to be better at keeping in contact with people. There are so many people I need to get in touch with. It is not you; it is me. I am HORRIBLE.

Football

Jason talked me into getting season tickets this year for OSU Football. It has been fun. We have had the extremes in weather this season from the 100s to the 30s. We had 8 home games (the last being tonight which I am missing because I got sick). I think I only made it to 4 1/2 games. It is fun to be with the fans and see some of the crazy ones, like this one.

Proud, not prideful

I am proud of myself. I received 104% on an exam that I had yesterday. We had such a busy weekend (more posts to come. I am not proud of my blogging updates though). Friday night we went to a Halloween party, Saturday was a home football game which I ended up not going to due to studying. I did get to go tailgating for a little bit though. Sunday was church and we had company Sunday and Monday night. My house finally got clean and I got a 104 on an exam. Life is good. After this semester, only 11 classes to go. That seems like a lot, but I plan on being done next December.

What I love...

...a husband who cooks dinner on his assigned night
...a husband who has the entire house cleaned by the time his wife gets home
...a husband who cooks dinner on his wife's night because his wife was too busy (I thought he was just going to pick up some fast food and I came home at 9 to a home cooked meal)
...a husband who is understanding when his wife has not been his girlfriend because she has a million things going on
...a husband who after working 12 hours drives to wife's location to trade cars with her because he had not put on the new windshield wipers on her car yet even though wife is perfectly capable of doing it herself
...a husband who after switching cars with his wife fills her car up with gas
...all of which loving things were done without being asked.

How did I get so lucky?! I truly love this man. I cannot wait for the day when I can take care of my man and my future children. I look forward to having the house clean for him when he gets home, a meal on the table, and fun and laughter with children around. One day, but for now I will focus on being his girlfriend. I got a call from him this morning asking if I could drop by some sandwiches for him on my way to work. I truly appreciated his call. I felt that I was finally doing something for him (plus I finally had a lunch for myself also). He constantly tells me he appreciates all that I do, and he understands that I am busy right now. I am sure he cannot wait until I am able to stay-at-home/wife. Marriage can be such a beautiful thing. At times it is rocky and needs some work, but from life experiences I know all things that are worth it are worked on constantly. I love my life right now even with all of its hecticness (I know, not a word).

We have been a little busy....

A little piggy decided to visit Jason at the end of September. I had left work early because I was not feeling well. I went to the doctor, and she did not know what was wrong with me because I was running a low grade fever. Jason came home that evening from a quick trip to Dallas. I had already called in for the next day. Well, at 5 in the morning I was on my way to Wal-Mart from him. I never seems to fail that whenever Jason gets sick, I am already sick, but I am the better of the two sickies. I felt fine; I just did not want to go to work because of my fever. I left Jason at home in the afternoon for a few hours. When I came home, he said to me, "I think this is Swine Flu." I laughed at him. He said, "No, I am serious." I told him that if that is what he thought it was we needed to go to the doctor. I practically had to pull him out of bed and carry him out to the car. I helped him into the doctor. After some tests, he was diagnosed with H1N1. The nurse had to wheel him out to the car. I am just glad that I was at home sick that day so that I could be there with him. I have never seen him so weak. He compared it to when he was sick with mono in the hospital. He had to take an entire week off of work.

I will fill you in little by little of the fun festivities that have been keeping up busy these past few weeks.
